Are you wondering if you or your child might be 2e? 🌟Ok, I’ve got you! I know it can be tricky to figure out. ✨Here’s PART 1 of Top 2e traits to look for… 👉🏼Asynchronous development- this means you have advanced abilities in one or more areas while also having one or more area(s)of struggle. 👉🏼 Emotionally intense (🙋🏼‍♀️anyone else? Where are my fellow HSP??) 👉🏼Difficulty with emotional regulation (if this is you or your child, I’ve got some of my favorite tools coming soon! 💓) 👉🏼Creative - this doesn’t just refer to the arts, it’s also doing things in unique ways, seeing what others don’t see and putting things together in unexpected ways. 👉🏼Advanced sense of humor 👉🏼Curious- can be intense 👉🏼Highly imaginative- rich inner world 🦋 Do any of these resonate? Drop a comment below and let me know! 💓 You are not alone! 🫶🏻 Xo Melissa #neurodivergent #neurodiversity #neurodiversityadvocate #2e #2ekids #adhd #dyslexic #dyslexicthinking #twiceexceptional #cognitivediversity

Let's expand our understanding of "hyperactivity." 💫Looking for more info on Giftedness & Overexcitibilities? Comment LEARN MORE💫 When I first started teaching and hearing about ADHD in educational settings, I heard that word "hyperactive" and my mind jumped (pun intended) to kids bouncing out of their seats, running around, just uncontrollable physical energy. And yes, it CAN be that. But it can also look like hyperactivity of the brain - which is why according to this study that looked at teacher/parent rating of ADHD/Non-gifted, Gifted/Non-ADHD and Gifted/ADHD - the one area where Gifted/ADHD scored significantly higher was in "hyperactivity." Specifically, these three areas: ✅️Excessive talking ✅️Talking out of turn ✅️Fidgeting/movement 💡So what can we do with this?💡 It can be hard to tease out Psychomotor Overexcitibility vs. ADHD. This isn't a diagnostic checklist by any means, but this study sheds light on the fact that if your GT child is exhibiting these three behaviors with consistency and intensity, it could warrant a deeper look. 📣My 2E (specifically adhd/gifted) people...do you feel like this fits YOU? 💫Looking for more info on Giftedness & Overexcitibilities? What’s often called “high functioning” isn’t always functioning well. It’s often compensation. Many people who get labeled as “high functioning” are actually 2e (twice exceptional) — gifted (IQ 98th+ percentile) and living with a learning or developmental disability (ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, AuDHD, etc.) High ability can hide struggle. Strong output can mask regulation issues. Especially in females. That’s where overlap matters. This diagram doesn’t show diagnoses — it shows shared traits that exist across ADHD, autism, and giftedness. You can have a shared trait and only fall in one category. Those overlaps are why: • ADHD can be missed • Autism can be misunderstood • AuDHD can feel close but not quite right for some • And 2e often goes unnamed Overlap doesn’t mean the same nervous system. And “high functioning” doesn’t mean well supported. This isn’t about replacing labels. It’s about understanding why so many people never felt fully explained. Why are ADHDers so clumsy? It’s not carelessness. ADHD impacts executive functions - including coordination, spatial awareness, and attention. 👉 Your brain is constantly jumping between stimuli, so your body can miss small details… like where the table actually is. How to reduce clumsiness with ADHD: • Slow down transitions (rushing = more accidents) • Keep spaces minimal (less objects = fewer collisions) • Use “pause before move” (1-second check before standing/walking) • Don’t multitask while moving (this is a big one) If this is you… you’re not broken. Your brain just works differently 💜 Follow us for more ADHD tips & comment ADHD and I’ll send you a free test. @unique_adhd @unique_adhd @unique_adhd #adhdawareness #adhd #adhdwomen #adhdproblems #adhdsupport

ADHD is a complex, neurodevelopmental condition that runs far deeper than a quirky personality trait, or getting distracted easily. First of all I'd like to make clear that this reel isn’t about gatekeeping or attacking anyone! It’s purely about highlighting the very real, often invisible struggles that people with ADHD face every day. For many of us, ADHD means emotional dysregulation, executive dysfunction, paralysis, burnout and a lifetime of “not living up to your potential” and not knowing why. The “fun and bouncy” version of ADHD can be valid for some, especially in children or in certain presentations, but reducing ADHD to a stereotype makes it harder for others to be taken seriously, access support or get a diagnosis. I want to keep normalising the full picture without minimising anyone’s experience. Whether you’re diagnosed, self-identifying, or supporting someone with ADHD, you’re welcome here! This is a safe space where I regularly remind us all of the nuance that comes with ADHD, and where I aim to keep it real. #adhdawareness #neurodiversity #realadhd #adhdsupport #mentalhealthmatters #executivedysfunction #adhdinadults #adhdeducation #neurodivergentvoices #adhdreality #emotionalregulation #adhdacceptance #adhdtherapist #therapistwithadhd #talkingtherapy

👉Do you want to manage your ADHD? Comment 𝐀𝐃𝐇𝐃 and I’ll DM you the link to the most powerful app for ADHDers. We don’t like waiting. We don’t like rules. We don’t like… instructions 🙃 Our brain craves dopamine, not step-by-step. And sometimes? That chaos leads to brilliance. Other times? Just… a very messy kitchen. But it’s not your fault — it’s how our ADHD brains are wired. And that’s why we built Univi ADHD App 💜 ✨ By ADHDers. For ADHDers. Inside you’ll find: ✅ A free ADHD test ✅ Simple, effective tools for impulsivity & executive functions ✅ Tiny daily boosts that help you feel more in control (without killing your vibe) 👇 Comment 𝐀𝐃𝐇𝐃 and I’ll DM you the link. Is your child frequently distracted during study periods, often shifting focus to different tasks other than their assignments? This behavior may indicate Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Fortunately, there are several effective strategies to enhance focus and time management in children with ADHD. These techniques include: 1. Break tasks into smaller tasks. 2. Make checklists and to-do lists. 3. Teach calendar and time management skills. 4. Establish daily routines. ... 5. Use color-coding. ... 6. Create an organized and quiet work space. These strategies not only assist in fostering better study habits but also contribute to the development of essential life skills.for more support you can always contact us on: info@qudrability.com, or call us on +971567273993.#adhd #child #school #motherhood #امهات #امهات_في_الغربة #امهات_الإمارات #أمهات_دبي #تعليم #تدريس #تركيز_الاطفال #تركيزوانتباه #attention #attentionautism #focus
