DIOkay so lowkey always hated buffing and I was always trying to find ways around it 🫣 I tried matte top coat, I tried acetone, but there was always something I didn’t like with those techniques. Thats when I tried my sanding band, it really helped to smooth everything out especially after I used my 5-1 bit, I love this method and I think every tech should try it ✨ It gives me the smooth base I always looked for. 💅🏼
• I’m using a 240 grit sanding band with 70% alcohol

It’s called a heat spike — a natural reaction that happens when the liquid monomer and acrylic powder bond together during polymerization to form acrylic.
A few things can make heat spikes stronger:
• Beads that are too thick
• Product curing too quickly
• Warmer room temperatures
• Sensitive or thinner natural nails
Acrylic usually works best when the room is around 70–74°F, but it’s not just room temperature that matters — the temperature of your monomer and acrylic powder can also affect how quickly the product reacts.
Every client’s nails are different, and their nail health can also play a role in how sensitive they are during the service.
This year I really want to invest more into learning about proper cuticle care and nail health, rather than only relying on what I learned from past workplaces. I want to keep growing in this industry so I can give my clients the best services possible.
