If AI was undetectable in an execution, but it was still entertaining and impressive, would you care? I’ve been really grappling with the nuances of it all lately. Trying to determine if I even have a stance on when or where creatives should or shouldn’t be using gen AI in the creative process. There are no referees watching over your shoulder as you utilize these powerful tools. And I really appreciate that Adobe tools incorporate them if you want, but are completely avoidable if it’s not for you. You can use your personal discretion! For me, I want to see things in the world that inspire and impress me. And I’m finding that demonizing fellow creatives isn’t really going to push brands and clients toward greenlighting beautiful work. Last week I was invited back Adobe HQ for the Adobe Creative AI VIP Summit and got to see some old friends and meet some fellow talented artists and creators. Who wouldn’t be stoked to get their logo also on their morning espresso @spaceboylabs Labs Off the bat I went in to the conversations to give some straight talk to Adobe teams on AI integrations both native and 3rd party across the ecosystem and I will say the team was listening to all sides of the conversations since we had a diverse group of creators for the summit. We had Execs, PM’s, engineers and the gambit of Adobe team listening to what we all had to say. As someone who is no stranger at all to all forms of AI and new technology that has had the potential to enable and disrupt having the hard discussions with how technology will impact various industries needs to happen more and at the highest levels. I may not agree with every decision Adobe makes when it comes to AI technology into the ecosystem but I do give the teams major props for fighting to listen and understand its core users. Having been a Adobe beta tester for various cycles for a long time now I know a lot of the teams personally and they do care about the industry and a lot of them come from creative fields. So high five my Adobe friends for inviting in the tough conversations and listening. We need to do this more often. #adobexcommunity
