Many viewers assume nothing will happen after staring at the image. The truth is that your brain temporarily “burns” the image and flips it when you look away. The effect is called an Afterimage. Staring at the dots keeps your eyes fixed on one point. Photoreceptors in your eyes adapt to the image. When you look at a blank surface, the brain fills in the missing information. This creates a ghost-like inverted version of the image. It’s why faces can suddenly appear clearer or even change colors when you blink. The limitation is that the effect is temporary and varies depending on lighting and focus. The illusion reflects real processes in human vision and perception. No CGI. No editing tricks.
