Al Worden, the Apollo 15 Command Module Pilot, became known not only for his historic mission in 1971 but also for his provocative comments later in life—especially about humanity’s possible connections to ancient civilizations like the Sumerians. In an interview on Good Morning Britain, Worden surprised many viewers by suggesting that humans may have extraterrestrial origins. He pointed specifically to the Sumerians, one of the earliest known civilizations (in Mesopotamia, around 4500–1900 BCE).
