JEnothing beats an Arizona sunset 😍
for the BEST sunset views in the Phoenix area, head up to
📍Dobbins Lookout. it’s located at South Mountain Park, just a half hour outside of Phoenix.
🚗you can choose to drive up to the lookout via the Summit Road, which makes it a great option for your non-hiking friends and family members, or out-of-town guests. it’s 5.5 miles one way up a curving road, with city views and desert scenery. there are benches and shade structures at the lookout. open 5am to 7pm.
🥾you can also hike up via the Holbert Trail. this trail is 3.4 miles round trip with 984 ft elevation gain and is considered moderately challenging. make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks and pack out your trash.
🅿️ entrance to the park is free. vault toilets are available at the lookout. pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
