I recently made my first pair of #stylearcbobwovenpants and I loved them. However, I wasn’t entirely happy with the fit over the bum. I made some adjustments for my second pair which came along shortly after. For reference, I made a straight size 10 first time based on the finished garment measurements. This was the recommended size for my body (my measurements are in my bio). The second time I made these trousers I made a couple of amendments: - I found my first pair a little wide around the bottom, so I took a scant 1cm out of the back piece at the side seams on both sides, the whole way down. - I then took a triangle wedge out of the top of the back piece after I had sewn it together, measuring 2cm at the centre back seam, grading to nothing at the side seam (I drew a straight line). - Finally, the waistband is supposed to be overlocked onto the trousers with the elastic inside. In theory this is quicker and easier, but actually pinning everything accurately with the elastic inside is tricky and I find the finish a bit untidy inside. With this pair, I finished it by folding it over and stitching in the ditch. I’m really happy with the result and will be making any future pairs with the same adjustments. It works perfectly as a two-piece but also as individual pieces to mix and match - whether that’s t-shirt and trainers, dresses and boots or floaty top and heeled sandals! I’m also wearing Beyond Nine’s newest addition - the blue Tavi jeans - which will be also landing as part of tomorrow’s drop. I'm 5'4 and wearing a size S in all. Which is your fave look?
