CL5 Air Dry Clay tricks that actually worked for me ☘️
1. Craft sticks have been a total game changer for me. I use them as rolling guides for different clay thicknesses and now I have a whole collection for different projects. Honestly, they work so well that I ended up skipping the "proper" guides altogether. More options, zero extra cost.
2. A pump dispenser for water on my sponge. Look, I'm just lazy and didn't want to keep refilling a cup every five minutes😀 Now it sits on my desk with clean water, always ready. Such a simple thing but it genuinely changed my workflow.
3. Joining pieces that need to hold their shape - let them firm up for about 20 minutes first 🧘♀️ They'll be much easier to work with and you'll actually be able to seal the joints properly with slip.
4. If I could only pick one clay tool, it would be an awl - no question 💯 You can cut with it, smooth tricky spots with the handle, and use it for all kinds of decorative details. No dotting tool yet? Take a closer look at your awl or scalpel🙂
5. When I first started with air dry clay, drying was my biggest struggle. Turns out it's simpler than I thought, just flip your piece carefully after a few hours to make sure it dries evenly. No special equipment needed, just a mat.
