IM#ad So much of my work is about access, stability, and community care. And a new study from @rwjfoundation shows that many of us are aligned on those priorities.
Across the U.S., people say the most important things are:
✔ feeling safe
✔ being financially secure
✔ having a home they can afford
✔ and making sure everyone has the essentials for health
As a disability advocate, I know how deeply these basics shape our lives. And it’s powerful to see that many of us want the same things, regardless of background or identity.

PEWe hear so much about division that it becomes the whole story.
But this research shows something different.
Across backgrounds and beliefs, people care about the same core things: clean water, safe neighborhoods, good schools, stable housing, and jobs that pay enough to support your family.
And we’re all facing the same pressures — especially the rising cost of living and access to healthcare.
Even with worry about the direction of the country, most people still believe we can work together to solve problems.
And most agree that your ZIP code shouldn’t shape your future.
In my own life, I have close friends who didn’t vote like I did.
What matters is how we listen, where we respect boundaries, and how we treat each other.
Kindness exists everywhere.
And when we talk honestly about what matters, the common ground is right in front of us.
