KRThe John F. Kennedy Library Foundation announced the “people of the Twin Cities” will receive a 2026 Profile in Courage Award.
The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation release said:
“The people of the Twin Cities responded with extraordinary courage and resolve. Tens of thousands took to the streets to peacefully protest federal overreach and threats to immigrant families and constitutional protections, while others documented enforcement activity and alerted neighbors to federal agents’presence.
Faith leaders organized demonstrations, community groups built rapid-response networks, labor leaders and small business defended workers, and volunteers provided critical support and resources.
Across religious, racial, and political lines, a broad coalition of residents of the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs united in peaceful resistance despite violent confrontation and real personal risk, defending their neighbors’ rights and strengthening the national movement to protect American democracy.”

Sometimes hearing others say out loud and mention things that to you seem like everyday life to battle through; breaks you just little and you realize… just maybe how strong you have to be and have become to wether every battle and every storm - but absolutely couldn’t have done it without the support of my sister and definitely not without my faith in God. How did I have the strength to perverse and continue fight, God was always by my side even when I didn’t feel him… but I knew that no matter what happened that everything was gonna work out in the end 🙏🏽

And that is actually a biblical principle and a promise, “God works all things for the GOOD of those that love him, according to HIS purpose” – Romans 8:28… so remember if you love him, are grateful and obedient to what he calls you to do. You will be okay in the end… during the storm it will challenge you but hold on because GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!! 🙏🏽✝️♥️🫂📖

PR“It Would Have Been A Different Story If Ben Didn’t Do What He Did.” 👏
At only 8 years of age, Ben Hedger showed unbelievable courage in 2018 while in the car with his mum Lauren. On the drive home from school, Lauren suffered a freak seizure while driving at 65mph on a busy dual carriageway in Essex, losing control of the car.
Ben quickly grabbed the wheel and managed to steer the car safely across two lanes onto a grass verge, and turned on the hazard lights before it eventually came to a stop. His quick thinking and bravery ensured him nor his mum suffered from any injuries.
In 2019, Ben received the #PrideOfBritain Child of Courage Award for his heroics, presented by Dua Lipa.

PRMeet the adorable Ella Chadwick! 💜
Ella received the #PrideOfBritain Child of Courage Award in 2018 and won the nation’s heart with her resilience and fundraising for children’s hospitals.
Born with congenital nephrotic syndrome, a rare kidney disease, Ella’s spent much of her young life in hospital. She’s undergone over 40 operations, spent six years on dialysis, and received two kidney transplants. She’s also suffered multiple strokes and now lives with diabetes.
Despite relying on a walking frame and wheelchair, Ella refuses to let these challenges define her.
She’s raised thousands for hospitals and continues to brighten the lives of seriously ill children. Her infectious smile and selflessness shines in everything that she does.

CISurprise! Watch to see how 14-year-old Bella created a special moment with her care team. Bella was honored this weekend at the National Pancreas Foundation Gala along with Dr. Maisam Abu-El-Haija. Bella received the Courage award for her work to brighten the days of her caregivers and fellow patients by creating “theme days” around the hospital. Dr. Abu-El-Haija received the Nobility in Science award for her advancements in pancreatic care at Cincinnati Children’s.
Bella travels from Florida for care after being diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. After a Total Pancreatectomy with Islet Autotransplantation (TPIAT) procedure, Bella is back to competitive swimming. Learn more about Bella and our Pancreas Care Center (link in bio).
