EDThis legendary trance track was originally created to save lives after the rave ended
Released in 1995, “Children” by Robert Miles became one of the defining tracks of the dream trance era. Built around its unforgettable piano melody, the record topped charts across Europe in 1996 and went on to become one of the most recognizable instrumental dance tracks ever made.
The track carried a deeper purpose too. Miles wrote it after seeing photos of child war victims from the former Yugoslavia and also hoped its calming atmosphere would encourage DJs to end their sets with something peaceful, helping exhausted clubbers drive home safely.
Decades later, artists like Deborah De Luca continue to bring the anthem back to life on modern stages with remixes that keep the legacy alive.

Blending house, UK garage, and emotional live elements triggered from his MPC, the set captured the raw, intimate energy that helped propel the London producer into global superstardom.
One of the most viral moments came when a fan accidentally leaned on the decks and paused the music right as Fred was dropping a Skrillex ID that would later be released as “Leave Me Like This.”
