WAThank you everyone for coming to the opening of my first solo exhibition. I never imagined I would have a solo exhibition when I first began my studies.
I would like to sincerely thank Strathfield Council for selecting my work and giving me the opportunity to showcase it. I'm also very grateful for all the professional support and help throughout the process. This exhibition reflects a year of hard work, learning and persistence.
This journey began with a simple idea - to study and understand art. The artworks themselves grew from my curiosity about where textile come from and from my passion for making things with my hands. I'm glad that so many people are interested in the yarn making process using traditional spinning tools.
Thank you to all my lectures and friends for your support. Your encouragement gave me so much strength during the time I studied alone in Sydney. You are more than just teachers and friends to me!
Thank you (again!!) to everyone who sent me photos as a flashback, I completely forgot to take any photos of the exhibition myself!!! .
