Been watching a lot of @taylorsteele films lately and thought it would be cool to use one of my favorite hype up intro songs to a surf movie, to a few of my personal favorites at backdoor throughout the years🤠 Can anyone tell me what Taylor Steele movie intro this song was used for? I remember this first wave in the clip when I was 18 like it was yesterday! Crazy to be surfing a wave for so long and still be in love with it like the first time you got your first good one at that spot. I’ve learned so much from surfing this wave! Between the injuries, near death experiences, position, out of position, the good ones, the bad ones, crowds, the beatings, and of course the wave of your life the good Lord blesses you with. I feel like it’s gone full circle a few times and I can’t tell you how worth every second of it-it has been🙌 Backdoor/Pipe has a funny way of choosing people. I hope I’m on her list this winter❤️ After making this little edit, I realized that every wave was caught in a free surf on some very crowded days which I thought was kind of trippy. Sometimes a crowd will push you harder than you expect. Generate speed on the wave to cover more distance and increase the number of waves caught. 5. Anticipate and be prepared for incoming waves to catch them as they come. 6. Develop the ability to read waves and understand their behavior. 7. Manage your time effectively by staying focused and determined.
