JOOctober 6th and 7th, 2 days you’ll always remember. The Harvest Super moon. This isn’t just any full moon. It’s the first super moon of 2025, and the largest, brightest moon of the entire year. On October 6th at 11:47 PM, the moon will be just 224,600 miles from Earth. That’s 10% closer than usual.
That means it’ll appear massive and glow this incredible golden orange color when it rises. Farmers used to work under this moon because it was so bright. They could harvest crops at night. That’s why it’s called the Harvest Moon.
Here’s the best part. You don’t need any equipment. Just look east right after sunset on October 6th or 7th. And bonus? Saturn will be right next to it, like two cosmic friends hanging out together.
