In the 4th century, while the Roman Empire was collapsing, a powerful kingdom was rising in East Africa — Aksum.
Its ships sailed across the Red Sea to Arabia and India, its obelisks touched the sky, and its coins spread across the world.
At the heart of this empire was King Ezana, a young ruler taught by a Syrian scholar named Frumentius. Under his guidance, Ezana embraced Christianity and made it the official religion of Aksum — centuries before most of Europe. He built churches, placed the cross on coins, and wrote inscriptions about faith, justice, and law.

YAOnly thing I wish they did was name what book it was that way I could have actually added the research onto this page.
There are many ancient texts outside the Bible that document Christ’s life, but most were erased or hidden, likely by the Roman Catholic Church—much like the destruction of the Library of Alexandria wiped out knowledge. Historical timelines were also manipulated, which is why lost civilizations like Tartaria remain hidden or only a topic within the truthful/conspiracy now. Even the Dark Ages saw a lot of history whitewashed or erased. Some historical figures we thought were white were actually people of color. History isn’t always what it seems—there’s a lot more that we haven't even begin to scratch.

Out here, on the shifting sands of the Danube Delta, wild horses answer that question with every muscle, every shiver of their manes against the wind. They are not pretty ornaments, not quaint relics of some pastoral dream. They are raw, bruised poetry in motion, hooves striking the mudflats like drums of rebellion, eyes carrying centuries of silence and survival. Watching them, you understand that wilderness doesn’t ask for permission — it simply exists, feral and unapologetic.
These herds are no myth. Descendants of abandoned war horses, exiled work animals, and fugitives from forgotten farms, they found refuge in the labyrinth of reed beds and salt marshes. Over time, they carved their place into the delta’s fragile skin, grazing, shaping, leaving scars and balance in equal measure. Ecologists argue over their role, politicians weigh their worth, but none of that matters when you see them sprinting, manes ablaze with sunlight, cutting across the horizon like living storms. They are both blessing and burden, both keystone and controversy, and that paradox is what makes them real.
Perhaps that’s why they haunt us. Because deep down, we know that our own freedom is thinner than we like to admit, that survival is never guaranteed, that beauty is often inconvenient. These horses, untamed and unrepentant, remind us of truths we spend lifetimes trying to domesticate. Would you fight to preserve them, or would you look away and let them vanish into silence? And if you were born a wild horse here, would you choose captivity or the eternal gamble of the open steppe?

In west and south Atlanta, water-related concerns are part of ongoing systemic issues, according to Dr. Na’Taki Osborne Jelks, an environmental justice advocate and assistant professor of environmental and health sciences at Spelman College.
Over the years, she has conducted extensive research on Atlanta’s water infrastructure and cases of water injustice.
Dr. Osborne Jelks says there’s a pattern to how Atlanta's aging water infrastructure impacts historically Black communities. She said it’s by design, tracing back to Jim Crow engineering during post-Civil War Atlanta.
“Architects of segregation at that time decided the way to segregate the races, primarily Black and white in Atlanta, was through the control of natural resources,” she said.
The recent water main break and outage reveals the ongoing relationship between racial disparity and the city’s water infrastructure.
The infrastructure failed on May 31 when major pipes burst in the westside’s Vine City, and then in Midtown, leaving thousands without water for days. The city admitted the pipes were more than 80 years old.
