This is Le Mont Saint-Michel, a fortified island village in Normandy, France 🇫🇷
My friend and I finally got the opportunity to visit this place so we drove 4 hours from Paris to see it for ourselves…and it was 100% worth it🤩
At first glance, I thought it was a castle. But after learning more, I realized it’s actually an abbey towering above a medieval village. We stayed one night nearby so we could catch both sunset and sunrise. The next day we took the shuttle in, wandered the narrow streets, and walked back. This was one of my favorite places to explore in France😌
If you’re planning to visit, late spring or early fall is best for fewer crowds. You’ll want to stay at least 1-2 nights here to explore Mont Saint Michel and the surrounding area without rushing. If you can, plan your visit around high tide during a new or full moon you can witness it truly transform back into an island🙌

In recent weeks, stop signs have been appearing across France with the word “IMMIGRATION” spray-painted in red just below the official “STOP.” Videos and photos of these altered signs have been circulating widely on social media.
The slogan is being used by activists protesting against migration, attempting to spread their message virally. Such incidents reflect a broader trend of right-wing and anti-immigration sentiment emerging in parts of Europe. In particular, groups opposed to migrant movements along France’s Channel coast have adopted these visual tactics to attract public attention.
In France—as in many other countries—these kinds of alterations are illegal: road signs are part of public safety infrastructure and must not be defaced or modified.
