GADoes it work to make a 3dprinted harmonic drive ?
indeed not bad at all !
I've developed a few weeks ago this design of harmonic drive. The generative wave is done with a gear done in flexible TPU. it works pretty well, it's powerful. For the next version I'll make the bearing holder arm shorter to reduce effort on the motor. At the moment it's really good enough to start my first developments in the 5 axis theme.
you can find the 3d files on my github account, everything is modelized with FreeCAD, it's free and opensource.

BR🇫🇷 Apprentissage de Freecad : le dessin du chariot croisé Schaublin avance tranquillement… encore plusieurs heures de travail et le fichier grossit ! Du coup j’ai décidé de ne pas modéliser les filets dans les taraudages… sinon ca va vraiment être très lourd ! 😌
