FEGolf Stance 101!
I wish I knew these things when I first started playing, so I decided to make a quick video to help you out.
Your stance plays a huge role in how the ball starts and the shape of your shot. Sometimes the shot shape you dislike is simply a result of how you’re set up.
Square Stance
Your feet are aligned directly at the target. This encourages the ball to start on your target line and gives you the best chance of hitting it straight.
Open Stance
Your feet are aimed slightly left of the target (for right-handed golfers). This tends to start the ball left and naturally promotes a fade—a shot that starts left and curves back to the right.
Closed Stance
Your feet are aimed slightly right of the target (for right-handed golfers). This tends to start the ball right and promotes a draw—a shot that starts right and curves back to the left.

TRIf you're swinging hard but not hearing any speed, your wrists are probably locked up tight.
Tense muscles are slow muscles. Loose muscles are fast muscles.
That's where all your clubhead speed lives, and tension is shutting it down before it ever gets to the ball.
Try some easy L-to-L swings and let the wrists go soft.
Grab an alignment stick if you want louder, faster feedback. You'll hear the difference immediately.

NIMost golfers don’t know this…
The USGA recommends hole locations stay under a 3% slope. Once the green gets steeper than that, putts become extremely difficult to keep on line.
So if you can train your eyes to recognize 1%, 2%, and 3% slopes, you’ll be able to read the majority of putts you face near the cup.
The challenge is that most training tools designed for this are bulky and annoying to use.

MEIf you’re steep or coming over the top, this visual drill is gold. Stick a headcover on an alignment stick through your bag and make swings that miss the cover. It teaches you to start with the lower body, stay patient at the top, and shallow the club naturally.
