The most common reason for #weightgain is trying to eat less throughout the day and then eating more later due to cravings. Weight gain doesn’t need regular meals or a perfect routine. It just needs consistent calorie surplus and the right approach Skipping meals, living on coffee, salads, only one whole meal and then filling the gaps with pastries, chips, and snack foods still adds up. These foods are calorie-dense, easy to overeat, and barely trigger fullness so total intake quietly climbs even when meals feel “irregular.” Your body doesn’t count meal timings. It counts total energy coming in over time. That’s why people who say “I hardly eat” can still gain weight calories consumed in fragments still count. Routine helps appetite regulation and better food choices, but it’s calorie density, not chaos, that drives weight gain. Coffee suppresses hunger temporarily. Snacks compensate later. The math always catches up. If weight is the goal, structure meals. If #weightloss is the goal, reduce calorie density, not just meal frequency. I’ve always been a sucker for freedom, but I was feeling stuck in Sydney, working to pay rent with no time to build my health coaching business. So when I had to move out of my apartment a year ago, I decided to spend 2025 figuring things out. 11 months and 3 return trips later, I’ve no idea where all this is going, but I’m gonna give it my best shot and am happy to take my chances. RECIPE: 2 big pickles 4 hard-boiled eggs (chopped) 1/2 cup blended cottage cheese 2 tbsp dill 1 tbsp chives 1 tbsp mustard 1 tsp each paprika, salt, pepper 2 piece bacon (chopped) 1. Slice pickles in half and scrape out guts (save for mixture) 2. In a bowl, mix eggs, pickle guts, cottage cheese, mustard and seasonings. 3. Stuff each pickle with mixture and top with some more paprika and bacon crumbles.
