MUWe’ve been to try out the BRAND NEW play centre in Hull - @little_astronauts_hq
I took my two nephews, age 5 and nearly 3, and my 10 year old daughter to see what it’s like..... and we all absolutely loved it 😍
It’s on the top floor of @prospecthull , in the old food court (you currently access it via a foot bridge from the Prospect Centre car park). There’s a really good soft play area in the middle, then surrounding it is a fabulous sensory room, some unique and different rooms to play in and a large seating area and cafe.
The whole place is really big and airy, and the attention to detail makes it a great experience for kids (and for parents!).
I’ve popped a short review together, read in on the #hullandeastridingmumbler website homepage.
Things I liked -
💜All of the tables have corner protectors on so there is no worry of a bump
💜The toilets have an extra large cubicle so you can take 2 small children in with you and still have space to move
💜There are CCTV camera’s inside the play area showing on a TV in the seating area, so you can keep an eye on your children if you do sit down for a cuppa.
💜The main section of the soft play is high enough for a grown up to stand up in! I am used to crouching down or crawling through, it was such a pleasant surprise to stand up.
💜The coffee was good! I am a coffee snob and play centre coffee can be a bit dubious, this was amazing. I could tell it was a good local blend and I would go again just for the coffee.
💜They’re going to clean the balls! I am always wary of what is lurking in ball pools but they reassured me they have a ball cleaning machine and will deep clean them weekly.
💜There is no terrifying drop slide, just two slides of a sensible length and drop that they didn’t need me to go down with them.
It officially opens tomorrow, booking in advance is advised (all details are on the review).
Its been Mumbler tried and tested and is somewhere I will be taking my nephews regularly 😊🚀
