SHAt the 151st Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Geneva, Member of the National Assembly, Dr. Sharmila Sahiba Faruqui Hashaam, strongly refuted the baseless and misleading allegations against Pakistan.
She stated that Pakistan has never committed cross-border terrorism against Afghanistan. Instead, Pakistan is a victim of cross-border terrorism, with Indian-sponsored Fitna Al-Khawarij using Afghan soil to launch terrorist activities. Over 90,000 Pakistanis, including a significant number of women and children, have lost their lives due to these attacks.
She condemned the unprovoked actions from the Afghan side at the Pak-Afghan border aimed at destabilizing bilateral relations. Dr. Sharmila Sahiba Faruqui Hashaam highlighted that Pakistan has exercised its right to self-defence and has effectively countered assaults from Afghan soil, inflicting heavy losses on Taliban forces and terrorist elements.
She reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peaceful dialogue and urged the Afghan authorities and international community to take concrete action against cross-border terrorism to ensure lasting regional peace.
Dr. Sharmila Sahiba Faruqui Hashaam also drew attention to Pakistan’s humanitarian role by managing the world’s largest refugee situation in which it hosted over 4 million Afghan refugees for more than four decades, providing access to healthcare, education, and livelihoods, and facilitating legal avenues for Afghans entering Pakistan for business and medical treatment.

151वीं अंतरराष्ट्रीय पार्लियामेंट्री यूनियन असेंबली का भव्य समापन समारोह हुआ। पाँच दिवसीय इस सम्मेलन में दुनिया के करीब 186 देशों के प्रतिनिधि शामिल हुए।
भारत के प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के मार्गदर्शन में भारतीय प्रतिनिधि मंडल ने भारत की उपलब्धियों और लोकतंत्र की बात को दमदार तरीक़े से दुनिया के सामने रखा है। मुझे अपने देश से संबंधित कुल तीन महत्त्वपूर्ण विषयों को विश्व पटल पर प्रस्तुत करने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ। मैं आत्मगौरव महसूस कर रहा हूँ।
मेरे आदिवासी समाज के सम्मान के लिए मैं देश के प्रधानमंत्री जी एवं केंद्रीय नेतृत्व का आभार व्यक्त करता हूँ!
