Following the powerful dialogues and corporate recognitions at Purple Charcha, AIF continued its mission to advance systemic inclusion at the International Purple Fest 2025.
Under the leadership of the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Government of India, AIF, and the Indian Sign Language Research and Training Center (ISLRTC) unveiled a 40-hour Indian Sign Language course for corporates — designed to make India’s workplaces truly communicative and inclusive.
For millions of people with speech and hearing disabilities, exclusion begins where communication ends. On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we’re reminded that poverty isn’t only economic—it is also social. The inability to participate in meetings, trainings, and team exchanges translates into lost productivity, higher attrition, and billions in untapped economic potential. India cannot afford for talent to remain unheard.
This course changes that.
Designed for corporate teams, managers, and HR professionals, it builds not only language fluency but cultural awareness and communication confidence.
Rooted in AIF’s two-decade journey through ABLE (Ability-Based Livelihoods Empowerment), this partnership with ISLRTC builds directly on the Government of India’s vision to expand access, equity, and opportunity for every worker.
For organizations, it unlocks diverse talent and stronger collaboration. For employees with hearing disabilities, it opens pathways to dignity, belonging, and full participation in India’s growing economy.
