Nearly two years ago, my daughter suffered 7% burns from a hot coffee spill. Since then, infant safety has been a mission close to my heart. In 2024 alone, over 9,000 children were burned or scalded — and more than half of those accidents happened in the kitchen. That’s why the Fred Safety Stove & Hob Guard is a must-have for any parent. It allows you to cook safely while keeping little hands away from hot surfaces, pans, and stove controls. With front and side protection made from solid, heatproof Anodized Aluminium, it stays cool to the touch—even when the stove is on. No flames, no burns, no worries. Fits all stove types: electric, gas, ceramic, and induction. No tools needed, and it assembles in under 5 minutes. The ExtremeHold™ adhesive can even support the weight of a toddler—it’s that strong. Let’s reduce infant burns together. Every parent needs this in their kitchen. Sometimes 40 weeks feels like 40 years….. If you’re between 17-39 weeks pregnant 🎉Comment ‘WORKSHOP’ and I’ll send you a link for my free class. Crying is something that is often misunderstood by new parents. . But when you understand, before the baby arrives, that she will be communicating in the only way he knows how, it helps you to not take that crying personally. . Parents-to-be just need a GAME PLAN around 4 important areas. . That’s why I created a FREE WORKSHOP for first-time expecting parents. . You will learn about: . 👉 SLEEP:because new parents want to get as much sleep as possible . 👉 FEEDING:whether you plan to breastfeed or formula feed (or both) . 👉 INFANT SAFETY:because guidelines are always changing . 👉 CRYING: your baby’s first language . This is the stuff they SHOULD teach you in the hospital class but they don’t. . Comment ‘WORKSHOP’ and I’ll send you a link to choose the time that works best for you.

My rule is that I don't walk up to people unless it is **IMMEDIATE DANGER** for baby, however, I've been really trying to work on having better interactions with people and seeing if people are open to a little information. But, as of yet, I don't feel like I've actually done a very good job of it and today was a great example of how I completely missed the mark. When it comes to babywearing, I'm obviously very enthusiastic about it. Infant safety matters to me, and also just making sure parents have a community where they can learn more and do the best for themselves and their little ones. BUT- I can be really horrible at in person encounters. And while I don't normally do anything unless it is a legitimate, immediately dangerous situation, I have been trying to be a little bit more open towards "being the community" and finding the right way to engage with people and provide info for those who want it. Today, I started word vomiting and talking about a number of different things that this person could do different- In particular, asking if they wanted to adjust right there and then. It was absolutely not the time or place, and I have recognized that I often have a hard time determining that in the moment- which is a reason I'm trying to practice 🙈 All day, I have been playing this over and over in my head and the biggest thing that I wish I had done was just stopped with- I just wanted to share that your carrier has an adjustable seat and you can change how wide it is for your baby's legs by unsnapping it on the inside. That's it- It probably would have been taken much better, it would have given them an opportunity to go home and look at their carrier and realize that there might be more to learn. It might have been a pathway for them to feel supported and ask a question. Instead, I very likely just made them uncomfortable and wanting to escape the situation. I am really excited by the possibility of having an in-person place (I'm setting up appointments to go look at places in person 🎉) but, I also really do need to work on how I approach people and how I help them in person- both if I have a physical space and if I choose to reach out to someone.

Most perfumes and scented products contain hidden chemicals under the label “fragrance” and these aren’t always tested for infant safety. These substances can linger in the air and be inhaled by your baby, whose lungs are still developing and extremely sensitive. 👶 Why it matters: • Babies breathe faster than adults (30–60 breaths/min) • Their lungs and immune systems are still developing • They absorb more airborne toxins per breath 🌫️ Possible risks of exposure to perfume near infants: • Asthma • Skin allergies or eczema • Sneezing, coughing, watery eyes • Hormonal disruption (in long-term exposure) 🧴 When can you start using perfume again? It’s safest to avoid applying perfume directly to babies or using it heavily around them until at least 2–3 years of age, when their lungs are more mature. Even then, always use mild, hypoallergenic, and fragrance-free products when in doubt. 🙅‍♀️ How to deal with scented visitors? It’s okay to protect your baby. Try gently saying: ➡️ “Sorry, we’re avoiding perfumes around the baby for health reasons.” ➡️ “The baby’s lungs are quite sensitive, we try to keep the environment fragrance-free.” ➡️ “We’re just being cautious — thanks for understanding!” 👃 Let your baby breathe clean. They don’t need to smell like lavender or vanilla. They already smell perfect. Let’s normalize speaking up and creating safe spaces for our little ones. ❤️ Share this with a fellow new parent who needs to know. #BabyHealthMatters #PerfumeFreeParenting #SensitiveLungs #AsthmaAwareness #ToxicFragrances #MomLifeTips #NewMomAwareness #HiddenChemicals #FragranceFreeBaby #CleanAirForBabies #NonToxicLiving #SafeForBaby #ParentalAwareness #NoPerfumeZone #EcoParenting #MommyHacks #BabiesDeserveBetter #ChemicalFreeParenting #NaturalParentingTips #breatheclean
