I see iron overload looked over SO MUCH and I believe it to be a lot more common than we may realize. Iron overload can be associated with symptoms like: -Heavy bleeding and cramping -Short period bleeds (3 days or less) -Autoimmune disease -Migraines -Melasma -Infertility - and more! Iron is attracted to damaged tissues in the body. It will go to sites with inflammation, high levels of insulin and even the nervous systems and brain that are dysregulated. Iron will quite literally be attracted to those areas and will cause oxidative stress or RUST in the body. Why do so many of us wind up with iron overload or iron dysregulation? Well, because our foods like cereals, flours and oats are fortified with it, it is in our birth control, supplements and prenatals. Not only are we getting higher amounts than we actually need but we are also deficient in the vitamins and minerals that move iron. AND we have gut dysbiosis that doesn’t allow us to absorb and utilize the vitamins and minerals that move iron. These are the exact steps I take to help clients who are suffering form iron dysregulation: 1️⃣ Have them take an HTMA test to look at their mineral status. These minerals are KEY for moving iron and reducing inflammation/ oxidative stress. 2️⃣ Have them do a GI MAP test that shows us what pathogens are thriving off the iron accumulated in their gut causing more dysfunction the body. 3️⃣ Look at nutrition and lifestyle to help reduce inflammation and fuel the body properly. If you have been chasing diets, protocols and supplements and no matter what you do, you just aren’t feeling better, the missing link may be iron overload. We include the GI MAP and HTMA in our 1-1 package so that we can start getting answers and help you feel your best faster. ✅👉🏼Comment HEAL and I’ll send you more information about my 1-1 package and how we can work together. #ironoverload #guthealth #HTMA #womenshealth #nutrition

Excess iron in tissues (not blood!) drives fatigue, inflammation, and disease. Here’s how to lower IRON safely: • Donate Blood Regularly: The most effective way to reduce stored iron. Men and post-menopausal women can donate quarterly; pre-menopausal women naturally lose iron through menstruation. • Avoid Iron-Fortified Foods: Skip processed foods like cereals, breads, and pastas enriched with inorganic iron, which builds up in tissues and feeds pathogens. • Limit High-Dose Supplements: Avoid high-dose vitamin C, vitamin D, and zinc, as they can increase iron retention. Copper is essential for energy production. Copper deficiency is worsened by glyphosate (in all nonorganic food) and processed diets. INCREASE COPPER: • Eat Copper-Rich Foods: grass-fed liver (1–2 oz weekly), shellfish (oysters, shrimp), cacao, and organic nuts/seeds for bioavailable copper. • Avoid Copper Antagonists: Cut high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), which chelates copper, and avoid fluoride. • Support with Synergists: Include magnesium, vitamin A (from cod liver oil), and B vitamins to enhance copper absorption and ceruloplasmin production. #Copper #IronOverload #anemia #healthyandvibrant

Iron is essential… but more isn’t always better. ⚠️ If you have anemia and are taking iron supplements, your iron may be hurting you more than helping. ✅ In anemia of chronic inflammation, iron may already be present — just stuck in your tissues. ✅ Excess iron fuels oxidative stress and inflammation. ✅ Your body only needs ~1 mg of iron absorbed daily — far less than fortified foods and supplements provide. 📚 For more insight: Iron: The Most Toxic Metal by E.D. Kansas is facing one of the largest recorded tuberculosis outbreaks in U.S. history, according to local health officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Elevated levels of iron impair immune defense mechanisms, and specifically, the macrophage function of innate immunity. Iron enhances Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, M. tuberculosis replication, progression to clinical disease, and death from tuberculosis (TB). Chelation of iron in individuals with an excessive iron burden may reduce M. tuberculosis viability and replication, restore host defense mechanisms, and could find application in the prevention and treatment strategies in settings where both iron overload and TB are prevalent. #tuberculosis #ironoverload #ironladydoc #CenterStagePrimaryCare

Dr Shabeeha Rana, Consultant Haematologist, explains: High iron levels occur more often than many realise, especially in people with hereditary haemochromatosis, a genetic condition that causes the body to absorb and store too much iron. Excess iron may affect the liver, heart, skin, and joints, but regular care such as blood donation can help maintain healthy levels. Men in their 50s experience this condition most frequently, often showing signs such as darker skin tone and liver issues. Anyone who notices these changes should see a specialist. Early diagnosis and treatment protect long-term health and wellbeing. #ironoverload #hereditaryhaemochromatosis #liverhealth #geneticdisorders #healthawareness #menshealth #haematology #livercare #ironmanagement #dubaidoctors #dubaihematologist #drshabeeharana #genesisteam

What if autoimmune conditions are not caused by a confused immune system, but by minerals being out of balance? In this clip, Morley M. Robbins explains how excess iron can build up inside immune cells and why bioavailable copper is needed to move that iron out. Many people have been told they are anemic and need more iron, without ever being taught how mineral balance actually works. Comment “minerals” and we will send you the full recorded webinar. The Mitochondria Fix: Balancing Your Minerals, featuring Morley M. Robbins and hosted by Heather Dane.
