Largo di Torre Argentina looks like “just ruins” in the middle of the city. But this area is linked to the Curia of Pompey, the place where Julius Caesar was assassinated on the Ides of March (44 BC). One of Rome’s biggest turning points, hiding in plain sight. Julius Caesar trusted Brutus. Not just politically but personally. He spared him in civil war. Elevated him. Treated him like family. Ancient writers say Caesar believed Brutus loved the Republic and him. That’s what makes the betrayal unbearable. When the knives came out in the Senate, Caesar resisted until he saw Brutus among them. Then, according to tradition, he stopped fighting. Friendship was the final wound. This wasn’t just murder. It was a clash of devotions: loyalty to a man versus loyalty to an idea. Brutus chose Rome. Caesar lost everything. History remembers the act, but not the silence after — the moment when trust collapses and belief in another human being dies with it. Some betrayals don’t come from enemies. They come from the people we let closest. Ultra Apparentia. #history #podcast #conspiracy #meme #myth

COMMENT “sauce” if you want me to send you where you can buy ‘supplements’ to get a vitalist physique like this → In 69 BC, a young Julius Caesar stood before a statue of Alexander the Great in Cadiz, Spain and wept. He was around 31. Alexander had conquered most of the known world by that age. Caesar had done almost nothing. That moment gets romanticized a lot. People frame it as “motivation” or “ambition unlocked.” But sit with it for a second. One of the most powerful men in history looked at the legacy of another and felt like a failure. Not because he lacked talent. Not because he lacked opportunity. Because he measured himself against a ghost. Someone who had different circumstances, different resources, a different world entirely. Caesar went on to reshape Western civilization. But in that moment, none of that existed yet. He was just a man standing in front of a statue, wondering if he’d already run out of time. Most of us do this constantly. We compare our chapter three to someone else’s chapter thirty. We look at legacies that took lifetimes to build and expect ourselves to have them by next Tuesday. Caesar wept because he forgot something important: his story wasn’t over yet. Neither is yours #fitness #health #research #medstudent#history

🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸 🇬🇧 Julius Caesar was killed on the Ides of March 44 BC in Pompey’s Curia, near what is now Largo di Torre Argentina. The solemn funeral, as the historian Suetonius recounts, took place in the heart of the Roman Forum. Here, the wooden funeral pyre containing the body was erected in front of the Rostra, the platform from which Antony delivered his funeral oration. On the site of the pyre, in 29 BC, Emperor Augustus dedicated a temple to Caesar, now deified (Divus Julius). Unlike other places of worship, the front of the podium curved into a semicircle to accommodate a circular altar, likely placed on the very spot where the pyre had been erected. More than 2,000 years later, there are still those who leave coins, flowers, or colored ribbons on that spot to pay homage to the memory of a man who lives on within us. 👉 In your opinion, was Brutus a liberator or the person who decreed the end of the Roman Republic? 🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹 📹 Video by @purposefultravelss 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸 #archeologia #archeology #fororomano #romanforum #juliuscaesar

2,000 years later, people still leave flowers for Julius Caesar. In the Roman Forum, this monument marks the place traditionally associated with Caesar’s funeral pyre after his assassination in 44 BCE. It’s a small stop, easy to miss - but you’ll often see fresh flowers. Save this for your Rome itinerary 🏛️ #romanforum #ancientrome #juliuscaesar #history

The successors of Julius Caesar ruled the greatest empire the world had ever seen—yet where are they now? Their names sit in history books, their power reduced to ruins and relics. Empires rose, expanded, and collapsed, each claiming permanence, each eventually falling to time. Rome, once unstoppable, could not preserve its throne or its rulers. Yet the successor of St. Peter remains. For over two thousand years, the Chair of Peter has endured—through persecution, corruption, wars, and revolutions—not by human strength, but by Christ’s promise. Kingdoms fade, empires fall, but the Church stands because it was founded not by men, but by God. History itself testifies: earthly power passes away, but what Christ builds cannot be destroyed. Asterix at the Olympic Games (2008) Asterix at the Olympic Games is a live-action comedy based on the famous French comics by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. The story follows Asterix and Obelix as they travel to Greece to help their friend Alafolix win the Olympic Games and marry Princess Irina. To succeed, they must compete against the powerful and scheming Brutus, son of Julius Caesar. With magic potions, slapstick humor, and absurd challenges, the film mixes sports parody with political satire, while celebrating friendship, loyalty, and cunning over brute strength. #Asterix #Olympics #FrenchComedy #AdventureFilm #2000sMovies
