If you’re visiting Koh Samui and want to see elephants the right way, this is the place to go @havenelephantcafe 🐘🌿
🗺️ Location & how to get there:
The sanctuary is about 20–30 minutes from Chaweng/Bophut – easiest way is by taxi or scooter (we used grab).
⏰ Best time to visit:
Probably in the morning when it’s cooler and the elephants are most active.
Anyway we went between 4pm and 5pm and captured this 😍
🐘 About the elephants:
Most elephants here were rescued from logging, riding camps, or street begging, mainly from mainland Thailand like Surin province
Some of the elephants you might see:
– Plai Bang & Sorn Ram (adult males)
– Somboon and her baby Haven, born after being rescued
💚 Why this place is different:
- No riding
- No bathing
- No touching
- No feeding
