What were your go-to unconventional or bazar methods of fixing toys as a kid? Or what did you see others do? I’ve seen glitter glue heads, chewing gum to keep ears intact, white-out for eye-paint, sharpie eyelashes… does it get weirder than this?
It’s the thought that counts though, right? ❤️🩹
I got this LPS in early 2022 and genuinely had no clue how to restore it in this condition at the time (nail and all)…so I decided to just go with whatever the original owner was trying to do. There was a literal drywall nail (like corkscrew) drilled into the neck plastic, so unfortunately not much way to save him anew, but I’ll bet someone had a really nice bonding experience with their mum/dad/family member during this super serious LPS surgery - and that’s all that matters! 🥹
Disclaimer: In case this isn’t obvious…I do not recommend doing this for peg swaps!!! There are tutorial videos all over YouTube that can help you, and they are probably a lot easier to do than this method anyway! 🛠️😅

This find just breaks my heart. I remember seeing dieting/weight loss magazines in grocery stores and hairdressing salons as a little kid… I can’t comprehend how any child/teens mind could want, let alone think, to recreate them with their own toys.
Recognising that teens/children often absorb and reflect what they’re exposed to, or personally experience, is something we don’t always stop to think about. We need to set an example for the little ones in our lives too. ❤️🩹 Please learn and teach self-love, wherever you go.
