MACzesława Kwoka, a 14-year-old Polish girl who became one of the countless innocent victims imprisoned during the Holocaust.
She was born in Poland in 1928.
Her childhood should have been filled with ordinary memories — school, family, hope, and laughter.
But history had other plans.
After Nazi forces invaded Poland, Czesława and her mother were taken from their home along with thousands of others. Their only “crime” was being Polish and living in the wrong place at the wrong time.
She was sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau, one of the largest concentration camps of World War II.

LESwahili is quite different from most other Bantu languages because it has been heavily influenced by non-Bantu languages, especially Arabic, due to centuries of trade along the East African coast. When it comes to the word child, most Bantu languages in Southern and Central Africa use roots like mwana (Shona, Chichewa, Kinyarwanda) or umntwana/umwana (Nguni languages, Luganda), following typical Bantu noun class patterns. Swahili, however, uses “mtoto” for child, which is structurally different: the prefix m- denotes a person in noun class 1, but the root toto is unique to Swahili and not found in most other Bantu languages. This reflects Swahili’s evolution as a coastal lingua franca that borrowed vocabulary and simplified some Bantu patterns, making it lexically and grammatically distinct from inland Bantu languages.#zimbabwe #learnshona #swahili
