I know y’all see the hang time too! 💃🏽💃🏽 Anyway, I had wanted locs for YEARS, at least a decade or more. Ask @amber_michelle lol I used to tell her I wanted a loc transplant! I finally made the jump Sept 2020 with a nudge from my girl @brownskinbeautiful. I started with interlocking and switched to palm rolling in 2021. I get a retwist about every 4 weeks. I have about 100 locs now. I started with 96 I think and I’ve added 3-4 #locextensions with my own previously shed hair. My favorite thing about my hair is how carefree it allows me to be. I literally wake up, take my scarf off, shake my hair out and go!! So, if you’re considering locs, NOW is the time! Before then, Jennifer had experimented with different locking techniques that would give her all the benefits of mature locs without the wait, going back as far as 2009. Through much research, trial and error, and watching countless Youtube videos, she finally found the preferred method—crochet. ⁠ ⁠ She handmade her first set of loc extensions for personal wear in June 2016. With practice, Mukisa Locs perfected their technique enough to create and install loc extensions for a client in December 2016.
