At 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was deployed to Iraq immediately after graduation. Following his second deployment, he began his career as a Teamster while continuing to serve in the Marine Corps Reserves, retiring in 2023. For decades, he has mentored fellow service members—especially Marines—about opportunities in the trades. His long-standing involvement with Helmets to Hardhats has been both an honor and a passion, as he helps connect veterans to meaningful union careers. Um grave acidente foi registrado na manhã desta quinta-feira (23) na BR-282, em Cordilheira Alta. A colisão envolveu dois caminhões e um automóvel de passeio, por volta das 9h35. De acordo com as informações iniciais, um dos caminhões acabou colidindo frontalmente com o carro. Um segundo caminhão que trafegava pelo trecho conseguiu sair da pista a tempo e evitou se envolver na batida. A motorista do automóvel sofreu ferimentos leves e recebeu atendimento no local pelas equipes do Corpo de Bombeiros. A Polícia Rodoviária Federal também foi acionada para controlar o trânsito e apurar as circunstâncias do acidente. FALSA DENTISTA É PRESA EM FLAGRANTE EM GOIÂNIA A Central Geral de Flagrantes, prendeu em flagrante na tarde deste domingo (20/10), por volta das 17h, uma mulher que exercia ilegalmente a profissão de cirurgiã-dentista em um consultório clandestino localizado em Goiânia. No local, os policiais encontraram um consultório completo, com cadeira odontológica, estufas de esterilização, instrumental metálico, seringas carpule, materiais de uso exclusivo profissional (iodofórmio, eugenol, cimento odontológico) e fichas de pacientes preenchidas, comprovando a realização de atendimentos clínicos. A suspeita não possui registro no Conselho Regional de Odontologia (CRO) nem qualquer autorização para o exercício da profissão. O ambiente também não possuía alvará sanitário e apresentava indícios de irregularidades higiênicas. A mulher foi conduzida à Central Geral de Flagrantes, onde foi autuada pelo crime de exercício ilegal da profissão (artigo 282 do Código Penal). O caso segue sob investigação e o material apreendido permanecerá à disposição da Justiça.
