Acl reconstruction Also known as the anterior cruciate ligament. It is one of the four major ligaments in the human knee. Its primarily role is to provide stability to the knee joint, particularly in controlling forward movement and rotation of the tibia (shin bone) in relation to the femur. The acl helps prevent exercise forward movement of the tibia and internal rotation of the knee. It plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and stability of the knee during activities such as running, jumping, pivoting and sudden changes in direction. Injuries to the ACL are relatively common , especially in sports that involve rapid changes in direction or high impact movements. When the acl is torn , it can lead to instability in the knee joint , affecting a person ability to engage in certain physical activities. The semitendinosus, gracilis and sartorius, have a common insertion into the anterior - medial aspect of the tibia. These muscles act as flexors of the knee but also provide tibial rotation and act as rotatory and valgus constraints to the knee. . . . . Interpretacja wyniku: ✅ Wynik ujemny (Prawidłowy): Brak bólu, szpara stawu nie otwiera się. ❌ Wynik dodatni (Nieprawidłowy) Zależnie od pozycji: Pełny wyprost: Jeśli wyczuwalny jest luz i znaczny ból, może to świadczyć o rozległym uszkodzeniu (nie tylko MCL, ale także więzadeł krzyżowych i torebki stawowej). Zgięcie 20°-30°: W tej pozycji luz lub ból świadczy o potencjalnym uszkodzeniu więzadła MCL. 💡 Zawsze wykonuj ten test porównawczo! Niektórzy pacjenci mają naturalnie większą wiotkość stawową. MCL Sprain Physio Routine - - - As you all know, I recently sprained my MCL whilst playing basketball. It is a real pain and has really disrupted my training, however I am determined to get it all healed up asap. This is the physio routine that I am using in the early stages of the injury: Quad Contractions: - 3 x 10 - Both Legs - 1:30 Rest Time Single Leg Calf Raises: - 3 x 10 - Both Legs - 1:30 Rest Time Quad Extensions Over Roll: - 3 x 10 - Both Legs - 1:30 Rest Time Heel Slides: - 3 x 10 - Both Legs - 1:30 Rest Time Single Leg Raises: - 3 x 10 - Both Legs - 1:30 Rest Time - It focuses on regaining flexibility and strength in my knee joint, so that I can get back to walking and moving like normal.
