BENo, I didn’t start medication, but I was very close when I experienced that flare (or relapse — who knows) a few years ago. I was barely able to walk or stand on my left leg. It lasted almost 4 weeks, and it was the scariest thing to experience just 3 years after my diagnosis.
I didn’t take painkillers, and I’m not sure if they would have made a difference.
What I did was increased my Vitamin D supplement and rested. I had faith that this was just temporary and that I needed to take better care of myself. I did gentle exercises at home when I could, I meditated, I took Epsom salt baths, and I went to bed every night praying that the next day I would be able to walk again.
That experience taught me that we are stronger than we think and that everything — all the pain and suffering — is just temporary… And that our bodies are incredible and capable of healing. 🧡
