It runs on massive data centres that burn huge amounts of electricity and gulp freshwater just to stay cool. That impact is real, not virtual. 🌳
Forests work the other way around.
They lock away carbon, regulate water, reduce floods, and cool the planet naturally, silently, and without invoices.
Protecting and restoring peatlands won’t magically offset AI’s footprint. But if we’re serious about climate action, the bare minimum is this: stop destroying the ecosystems that are already doing the heavy lifting for us. 🌏

HU🤖 your weekend reminder to be mindful of your AI use all the time. It might just be mindless or “for fun” but your AI use (even your online footprint - emails, browsing, etc) has serious repercussions and is actually killing the planet with the amount of energy and water it consumes to support your random musings or mindless scrolling.
