[Neighbourhood Kakis] Mdm Lee’s story really inspired me (see the video). She joined the Neighbourhood Kakis initiative, performing simple, micro tasks, serving the community she lives in. Through this, she has also helped fellow seniors stay socially active, connected, and meaningfully engaged right where they live. Great seeing our seniors thrive. What began as a pilot has taken off in an amazing way: 1,400 seniors have already signed up, with over 30,000 tasks have been completed, making an impact to the community. The People’s Association will roll out Neighbourhood Kakis to all 97 constituencies by the end of this year. The options for seniors to get involved will also be available through the PA Community App. Let’s keep the kampung spirit alive and growing — one neighbour at a time! #CaringCommunity #UnitedSingapore

As our seniors grow older, we hope for them to continue living safely and independently in the homes they cherish. The Government recently announced the Enhancement for Active Senior(Private Housing) [EASE (Pte)] Program. This helps eligible residents install practical improvements such as grab bars, ramps and other fittings to create safer, more accessible living spaces. The programme will be available in phases starting 1 April 2026. To learn more, visit https://go.gov.sg/ease-private. Alternatively, simply head down to any of our Community Centres, our staff are on hand to answer your questions and support your application. Their personal worries are also policy questions we must answer, especially on employment and lifelong care. @MSFCares’s Senior Parliamentary Secretary Eric Chua shared several encouraging updates: 👉 SG Enable will introduce new courses from April 👉 More Day Activity Centre and shelter workshop spaces will come by 2027 👉 The Supported Transition and Engagement Programme provide transition support to recent graduates 👉 MSF is also piloting two community living models - the Enabled Living Programme and Home Support Programme - to strengthen support for independent living Let's press on to create a society where no one and no family is left behind.
