One night in the month of Ramadan (around 610 CE), a life-changing event took place. Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) appeared and revealed the first verses of the Holy Quran from Surah Al-Alaq: “Read in the name of your Lord who created…” This was the very first revelation and the beginning of Islam. Trembling with fear, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ returned home where his wife Hazrat Khadijah (RA) comforted him and became the first person to accept Islam. Later, Waraqah bin Nawfal confirmed that this was the same angel who came to Prophet Musa (Moses). Read the full story here 👇 Allah sent Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) along with his brother Harun to the tyrant Pharaoh, one of the most arrogant rulers in history. Pharaoh claimed divinity and oppressed the Children of Israel, enslaving them and killing their sons out of fear that someone would rise against his rule. Allah chose Musa (AS) as a messenger and supported him with miracles. His staff turned into a serpent, his hand shone with a bright light, and many other signs were shown to Pharaoh and his people so that they might believe. But Pharaoh's arrogance blinded him. Instead of accepting the truth, he accused Musa (AS) of sorcery and gathered his magicians to challenge him. When the magicians saw the miracle of Musa's staff swallowing their illusions, they immediately recognized the truth and prostrated to Allah, declaring their faith. Pharaoh threatened them with torture and death, but their belief had already settled in their hearts. Despite witnessing sign after sign, Pharaoh continued in his arrogance until Allah finally saved Musa (AS) and the believers. When Musa (AS) led his people to the sea, Allah commanded him to strike the sea with his staff. The sea split into paths, allowing the believers to pass safely. When Pharaoh and his army followed, the sea closed upon them and they drowned. In his final moments, Pharaoh declared belief, but it was too late. Allah preserved his body as a sign for future generations. The story of Musa (AS) is not just history. It is a reminder that truth always overcomes tyranny, and arrogance before Allah leads only to destruction. "And We certainly sent Musa and Harun with Our signs and clear authority." Musa had once lived in Fir‘awn’s palace as a child, sleeping in his home and growing up under his care. Later, after accidentally killing one of their people, Musa was forced to flee and live in exile, fearing for his life. Despite this painful past, Allah chose him to return as a messenger, calling Fir‘awn and his people to worship Allah alone. A man from Bani Israel was found murdered, and the people began accusing one another. Allah commanded them through Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) to sacrifice a cow. After excessive questioning, they finally obeyed. Allah then ordered them to strike the dead man with part of the cow, and Allah brought him back to life briefly, allowing him to identify his killer, then he died again. This was a sign of Allah’s power over life and death and a proof of resurrection. Important Clarification ❌ The Qur’an does not say the killer was a nephew or name any relative. ✔️ Claims about a nephew come from later unreliable narrations, not the Qur’an or authentic Hadith.
