Grace covers here ears — *gilbert device screeching* — she simply takes her cochlear implant processors off and throws them in her tote. Ryien looks around the town square and says “sound, what sound? Huh!” (she can’t hear any high pitch noises lol)
This was a plot point where a high pitch sound would play that only vampires or werewolves could hear and it would expose them to the towns people. Deaf vampires? no match haha.
Grace tries on daylight rings and Mystic Mercantile, she’s being too picky—even though that’s what protects TVD vamps from the sun!

ROTrack 1: «Perfect For Me» – Ron Pope.
No sé ni por dónde empezar. Llevo media hora mirando la hoja en blanco y una línea vertical que parpadea sobre la pantalla, retándome a escribir algo. Algo sobre ella.
Lo más fácil, supongo, es empezar por el final. Era el 2012, y después de 5 meses a su lado decidí era mejor alejarme, como siempre. Ella, en un último esfuerzo por recuperar los cosas, o a manera de despedida, aún no lo sé, dejó un CD en la portería de mi edificio, con 20 canciones.
Hoy tuve que buscar en un armario mi colección de cientos de CDs piratas, para encontrar el suyo. Ella no lo había marcado, así que tuve que separar a todos los que no llevaban nombre, y ponerlos uno por uno. Pero como si ella quisiera que lo encontrara rápido, después de dos intentos comenzó a sonar su canción, que yo bien recordaba, y entonces hice todo lo posible para no llorar, y por primera vez en mi vida la música me causó un profundo malestar físico, un especie de vértigo y un estremecimiento general que iba creciendo dentro de mí.
Puse pausa un momento, y luego volví a escuchar…
Siempre creí que nos íbamos a volver a encontrar, que de alguna forma nuestra historia no había terminado, y que la vida se encargaría de reencontrarnos. Pero hoy supe que eso no será posible, sencillamente porque uno de los dos ya no está en este mundo.
El CD todavía huele a su perfume, después de casi 10 años. Ella era la única persona en el mundo que le ponía perfume a la música. Recuerdo cuando me dedicó esta canción:
-¿Ron Pope? –le dije – ¿Eso es como un helado?
–Oye, todo el mundo ama a Ron Pope.
En los próximos 20 días voy a estar compartiendo cada canción del CD. Hay algunas que quizá no gusten —incluso yo todavía no entiendo por qué hay canciones de Andrés Cepeda o de Bacilos—. Pero las voy a ir poniendo en el orden que ella las grabó, sin saltarme ninguna.
Hablar sobre estas canciones va a ser la forma de reencontrarme con ella, tratar de entender qué pasó, y qué era lo que quería decirme.
Al final, no es más que una corta pero demasiado intensa historia de amor, canción tras canción.
