MBA Dreams Shattered: Himachal Student Case After Alleged Placement Fraud
A 21-year-old MBA student from Rohru, Nitin Chauhan, has recently come into focus following an incident that has raised important questions around campus placements and student support systems.
According to information shared by the family, the student had enrolled with expectations of securing a well-structured career opportunity after completing his MBA. During the placement process, a salary range of ₹50–60K was reportedly communicated. However, the role he later received involved responsibilities and compensation that, as per claims, differed from initial expectations.
The family has also stated that the student had approached the university seeking a change in placement and expressed a desire to explore opportunities independently. Concerns regarding academic documentation and future prospects were also part of the situation, as per their account.
On March 28, the student passed away. A note recovered is currently part of the ongoing investigation.
Following this, students have gathered outside Shoolini University, and authorities have initiated an inquiry to understand all aspects of the case.

Once again, it was a beautiful experience to perform in their amphitheater🎭
Two years ago, I had performed my play With LoveAap ki Saiyaara here, and Shoolini University remains one of the institutions I truly admire. The ideologies of the Khosla family, especially Chancellor Prem Khosla ji and his wife, beautifully carried forward by the second generation, are inspiring✨️
The students are so artistically inclined with abundant opportunities for alternate learning through poetry, theatre, and nature. The campus itself is nestled in one of the most stunning hill surroundings near Solan.
I cannot wait to be back. Thank you, Shoolini University 💖 one of my most memorable shows last year and the response was truly heartwarming
