What began as a family celebration of Dutch heritage has grown into one of Victoria’s most iconic events, bursting with colour, culture and joy. From 13 September to 12 October, over a million tulips burst into bloom across five acres of colour in Silvan, offering the perfect day out for all ages. Families can soak up the sunshine with tractor rides, storytelling, face painting, live music and special appearances by Captain Barnacles from the Octonauts and PAW Patrol during the school holidays. Best of all, entry is free for kids 16 and under, tickets are valid any day of the festival, and it’s a dog-friendly event! Every day, visitors can wander through the blooms, enjoy Dutch treats, join a clog dancing workshop, ride the Tulip Tractor, explore the Fairy Garden and catch live entertainment on stage. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, there’s something magical waiting. To celebrate the 70th year, one lucky ticket holder will win a trip for two to Istanbul and Amsterdam, valued at $15,000.
