This monumental milestone also coincides with National Donate Life month, a yearly recognition that aims to raise awareness of organ donation, and to honor organ and tissue donors, as well as their families.
In honor of this tremendous milestone, we are sharing Dean’s inspiring story. Dean was born with a rare heart defect, and underwent his first heart surgery at just 5 hours old.
Today, we celebrate the incredible progress and the countless lives saved, four decades of innovation, dedication, and excellence.

RODesde os anos 80, nosso querido João Barone já usava kits híbridos, como o Octapad que disparava sinais MIDI, e depois passou a usar seu sucessor, o SPD-SX.
Hoje, além da linha SPD, Barone faz performances incríveis usando um kit totalmente digital em parte do show dos Paralamas. Este ano, ele está utilizando o kit V-Drums Acoustic Design na turnê.

NWDe regels rond gokspellen zijn begin deze maand nog veranderd. Gokreclame werd verboden en de minimumleeftijd steeg naar 21 jaar. De enige uitzondering zijn de spellen van de Nationale Loterij, zoals de kraslotjes. Die mag je dus wel al spelen vanaf je 18e. Het Vlaams expertisecentrum voor Alcohol en andere Drugs (VAD) organiseert elk jaar een bevraging bij leerlingen uit het middelbaar, over de thema’s alcohol, psychoactieve medicatie (bv. slaapmedicatie of kalmeringsmiddelen), illegale drugs, gokken, gamen en sociale media. Bijna 45.000 leerlingen van 12 tot 18 jaar vulden vorig schooljaar de bevraging in. #nwsnwsnws

Šie karavīri brīvprātīgi izvēlējās dienēt Valsts aizsardzības dienestā. Decembrī, būs pagājuši 11 mēneši kopš apmācību sākuma un jau šodien daļa zina, ka dienestu bruņotajos spēkos – turpinās.

RAMy colleague @susan_carter_mlc has moved an important Bill in the @nswparliament that extends conscience protections to aged care.
This Bill ensures faith-based aged-care facilities are treated no differently to faith-based hospitals and allows then to decline, if they choose, to facilitate voluntary assisted dying (VAD) on their premises.
I stand for a health system that respects the deepest convictions of our communities—convictions rooted in faith, family and the inherent dignity of life. The Bill embodies those principles, balancing freedom of conscience and association with the right of individuals to access voluntary assisted dying (VAD).
This is a balanced reform that protects conscience, promotes choice and enhances dignity. I am pleased to support the Bill. #vad #nswpol #auspol
