I foam roll before workouts to loosen up stiff muscles, and for recovery afterwards! Syncing our workouts (and even diet/lifestyle habits) according to where we’re at in our cycle is an effective way to increase our performance, energy, recovery, and even reduce PMS (aka working WITH our bodies, not against) 🤯 Up until pretty recently honestly I was in a routine (for a solid 5 or 6 years) of focusing on heavy lifting - all month long. The focus was always muscle growth & progressive overload (which is great don’t get me wrong) HOWEVER women have a 28 day hormone cycle, while men have a 24 hour one. This means that our bodies have different needs based on where we’re at in our cycle. A quick + simple breakdown: Phase 1 👉🏼 think lower impact Phase 2 👉🏼 cardio/circuits/weights Phase 3 👉🏼 higher intensity Phase 4 👉🏼 lower impact I listed some of my favorite ways to move my body in each phase of my cycle, but as always, listen to your body and do what feels good for you ❣️ Let me know if you give it a try! 👇🏼💪🏼 #cyclesyncing #cyclesyncingmethod #hormonehealth #hormonebalancing
