What is Kafka ?
Kafka is a real-time messaging system used to connect multiple services without making them tightly dependent on each other.
Instead of one service calling many services directly, services send events to Kafka and other services consume those events.
How Kafka works:
• Producer sends an event to Kafka
• Kafka stores the event safely in topics and partitions
• Multiple consumers read the same event in parallel
• If one consumer is slow or down, Kafka keeps the data until it comes back
Why Kafka is used:
• Real-time processing
• Scalable for high traffic systems
• Fault-tolerant and reliable
• Used in microservices and event-driven architecture
