We’ve been waiting a long time for this two-year checkup to see if she may be on the autism spectrum. I’ve always felt that if she is, it would be very mild—but the waiting for answers has still been hard. When she was around six months old, she began banging her head on the floor multiple times a day. As she’s grown, that’s changed. She no longer does it on the floor—now it happens mostly at bedtime in her bed. During the day, she rocks back and forth. Sometimes it’s rough, sometimes it’s just a gentle sway. Recently, she’s started saying words while she rocks, repeating the same word for several minutes at a time before stopping. Whether or not autism is part of her story doesn’t change who she is or how deeply she’s loved. 💕 This appointment is about understanding her better—and finally getting answers after such a long wait. No matter what, she’s perfect exactly as she is. . . . #momswithcameras #momlife #autism #parenting #momssupportingmoms

If I could give one piece of advice parents of recently diagnosed children on the autism spectrum or other disabilities: Build your community, put yourself out there, find your people, and seek relationships. Don’t just look for support, look for good souls and beautiful hearts. Bring people into your life that will love your child as much as you do. I can’t tell you how much it will matter later. #autism

Akbar Cheraghi Akbar was deaf, mute, and on the autism spectrum. Not a leader. Not a protester. His sign language was “misread.” No warning. No arrest. Just a bullet from behind — to someone who couldn’t even cry out. This is not security. It is an open crime, normalized by silence. When names fade, injustice becomes routine. Is this what “citizens’ rights” mean for the most vulnerable? #اکبر_چراغی #قم #دادخواهی #قیام_سراسری #iran

“He’s Just Trying to Help.” — Nurses Froze When a Massive Scarred Pit Bull Climbed Onto the Bed of a Panicking Child in the Hospital The first thing people noticed about the dog was the scars. They crossed his broad shoulders like pale lightning, jagged lines buried beneath short gray fur, and ran across the heavy bridge of his nose in a way that made strangers instinctively step backward before they even realized they had done it. Children stared. Adults tightened their grip on shopping carts or purses. More than once someone whispered the word “dangerous” under their breath. But the old man holding the leash never corrected them. He simply rested a hand on the dog’s thick neck and said quietly, “You don’t know the story yet.” That afternoon at Riverside Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, the story was about to change several lives at once. Inside room 317, five-year-old Mason Carter was in the middle of the worst panic attack the nurses on that floor had ever witnessed. His small body thrashed violently against the hospital bed, legs kicking beneath the thin blanket while his hands clawed at the air as though he were trying to push away something invisible. His screams filled the sterile room and spilled down the hallway, echoing against the pale tile floors and buzzing fluorescent lights that never seemed to dim no matter how late the hour became. The machines surrounding the bed beeped in frantic bursts. Mason had been admitted three days earlier with severe pneumonia that had settled deep into his lungs, but the infection wasn’t the only problem his doctors were fighting. Mason was also on the autism spectrum, and the hospital environment—its lights, alarms, unfamiliar smells, and constant interruptions—had overwhelmed his nervous system until his mind could no longer process what was happening. He hadn’t slept in seventy-two hours. Every attempt to calm him had failed. His heart rate continued climbing on the monitor, flashing numbers that made the nurses exchange worried looks across the room. Read Full story Link in Bio..

Escalating tension between Shaun Murphy and his medical student, Charlie Lukaitis. Despite both being on the autism spectrum, Shaun finds Charlie’s constant questioning and lack of clinical boundaries disruptive, leading him to bluntly tell her she isn't suited for surgery. This conflict forces Shaun to face criticism from Dr. Lim and Dr. Glassman, who remind him of the grace he was once shown. Meanwhile, the team treats a patient with mysterious neurological symptoms caused by a stray metal brush bristle, and Morgan struggles with the emotional weight of choosing a legal guardian for her daughter, Eden. At the same time, Asher navigates his own anxieties about family belonging while attending a gathering with Jerome. Follow for more 🎬: In The Good Doctor season 7, episode 3: "Critical Support,
