THUnfortunately there is high shark activity in the panhandle right now, so we have not made it to the beach yet. The water was actually closed the day we moved in due to a shark attack earlier that day. My mom asked me if I knew what all the flag colors are and what they meant, and I took my best guess but didn’t know for sure.
Green- low hazard. Calm conditions. Exercise caution
Yellow- medium risk. Moderate surf and/or currents
Purple-stinging marine life. Man-O wars, jellyfish, stingrays
🚩Red - High Hazard. High surf and/or strong currents
🚩🚩Double Red- water closed to the public
