COI had high expectations for this place after
all the social media reviews but I'm left feeling underwhelmed, maybe I just set the bar too high or burgers aren't my thing.
BGR is located in rosebank📍
They share the same parking lot upstairs.
The place has an american diner vibe which is really cool and theres seating inside and outside. Here is what we ordered but remember menus and prices can change
Single cheeseburger R95
Double cheeseburger R120
Fries R40
Purple cow float R60
Coke float R60
Our bill cameto R375. The food and ingredients were fresh. I loved that you had an option of toppings to choose from so you could customize it to your taste. They also had a vegetarian option was really nice to see.
The bun was fresh, soft and pillowy and the smash burger patty had a lovely char. I opted gor the works on my burger which was free to add.
For me though i was really underwhemed by the burger. The burger was nice but not worth the drive in my opinion especially with pantry being downstairs. For R95 for a single burger with no fries, i would have expected alot more flavour and seasoning. Perhaps a better quality cheese and better lettuce. If you are in the area, give it a try though and let me know your thoughts 👌
