ADApril is C-Section Awareness Month, and I need to say this loud and clear: C-sections are NOT the easy way out.
They are major abdominal surgery. They are brave, life-saving, and sometimes the only option to bring a baby safely into the world. But what they are not is a shortcut.
What people don’t see is the shaking on the operating table, the 7 layers of tissue being cut through, the pressure and tugging while you lay there awake. They don’t see the weeks of recovery, the scar pain that lingers, or the quiet grief some moms carry for the birth they imagined.
If you’ve had a C-section, whether it was planned or unexpected, you are strong. You are powerful. You gave birth. And that is something to be proud of. 💙
