I’ve been wearing the @chriswardlondon The Twelve 660 for a few days now, and I’m honestly surprised by how quickly I connected with it. The moment it slid onto my wrist, I felt that rare spark—something that almost never happens anymore. The headline feature here is, of course, the thickness—or lack of it. At 6.6mm, the case feels impossibly slim, and because the bezel and caseback step in slightly from the mid-case, it wears even thinner. On my wrist, it flat-out disappears, hugging the contours like some early neo-vintage sports icons I’ve always admired.
The design is clean and familiar if you know The Twelve line: the twelve-sided bezel with brushed surfaces and polished facets, the crisp geometry, the integrated bracelet lines. But the refinement is dialed up here. The white dial is stripped back to the essentials—no seconds hand, no date, no texture—just two hands, crisp markers, and a soft grain that catches the light subtly. Losing the visual clutter gives the watch this calm, confident presence that I didn’t expect.
The bracelet deserves praise too. The links are beautifully thin and articulate nicely, and the butterfly clasp is impressively compact. My only gripe is the lack of micro-adjust: It’s not a deal-breaker, but with such a thoughtfully engineered watch, I found myself wishing for that final touch of practicality.
The manual-wind Sellita movement isn’t glamorous, but it fills the case beautifully and feels right for a watch this slim. Winding it through the well-sized crown has actually become a small daily ritual I enjoy.
After living with it, I can confidently say the Twelve 660 feels like Christopher Ward at its most focused and refined. It’s elegant without being delicate, minimal without being dull, and slim in a way that genuinely affects how you experience it on the wrist. Even with its small compromises, this one has made a real impression on me—and it might be their best work yet.
