That’s real leadership — catching issues early and keeping the process stable.
In the Measure phase, this stability is quantified through Process Capability (Cp).
And Cp answers one powerful question:

🔍 A Simple Example
Imagine a company printing ID cards, each required to fall within a specific length range.
If measurements stay safely within those limits ➝ Cp is high — the process is reliable and well-controlled.
If lengths drift toward the limits ➝ Cp drops — the process may fail to meet customer expectations and needs improvement.
📊 Industry Standards for Cp
Cp > 1.33 → Excellent performance
1.0 < Cp ≤ 1.33 → Acceptable but needs tighter control
Cp ≤ 1.0 → Not capable; improvements required
