There’s something paradoxical about the human mind. Its brilliance lies in its ability to reason, yet that same ability can become a tool for avoidance.
The mind negotiates, bargains, reframes, searches for loopholes that make discomfort easier to live with, while a deeper inner knowing often stands quietly unchanged.
That “soul certainty,” if you want to call it that, rarely argues; it simply persists. And perhaps what complicates things is that surrendering to instinct demands responsibility. You can’t easily blame circumstance once you’ve admitted you already knew.
So many people debate, rationalize, and intellectualize not because they lack awareness, but because honoring it would require courage, change, or loss.
In that sense, the struggle isn’t really mind versus instinct — it’s comfort versus truth.
Instinct will manifest in statements of clarity while anxiety and fear will bombard you with questions.
Let that sink in.
