LOCATION DETAILS BELOW ⬇️ 📌 SAVE THIS POST for Ontario hiking inspo This beautiful walking trail in Omemee, Kawartha Lakes, is the perfect spot to enjoy some time in nature this summer. Doube’s Trestle Bridge can be found along the beautiful Kawartha Trans Canada Trail. This flat trail is popular amongst cyclists as well as hikers. TIP: There isn’t a ton of shade along this stretch of the trail so make sure to pack some sun protection and water on hot sunny days. Gotta have the waffles at @cannoncoffeeco and coffee at @crownandpressgallery while taking in local art ⛴️ HMCS Haida aka the “Most Fightingest Ship” in the Royal Canadian Navy is a floating museum ship docked at Pier 9 at Hamilton’s West Harbour. Enjoy free admission until September 2 courtesy of @parkscanada! 🦫 A couple minutes away is @allourrelations, an impressive art installation by local Indigenous artist @angelademontigny. Featuring more than 7,000 glass spheres, it honours the sacred relationship between nature and Indigenous cultural and spiritual symbols 🍽️ Downtown you’ll find @berkeleynorthkitchen one of two Hamilton restaurants in the MICHELIN Guide. They’ve got a contemporary menu inspired by global cuisine, and a cozy patio. Warmer temperatures and melting snow and ice can create hazardous conditions near rivers, lakes, and streams. Be cautious of changing water conditions during the spring season. Exercise caution around all water bodies. Riverbanks, shorelines, and trails near water will be slippery due to melting snow and ice. Avoid recreational activities in or around water.
