A small treasure just five minutes from the Cliffs of Moher, in Doolin.
The Clare Jam Company has been here for nearly 40 years, still using original recipes and the best Irish ingredients. You can see it all being made in the little kitchens right beside the shop.

💡Doolin is a village on Ireland’s west coast. It’s known as a gateway to the ancient sites on the Aran Islands, which are just offshore. The towering Cliffs of Moher lie southwest of town. Doolin Cave has a huge, free-hanging stalactite. Nearby, the spa town of Lisdoonvarna has a Victorian pump house. Farther north and east, the Burren is a stark area of limestone beds, where several species of orchids grow.

Still not over these breathtaking views! There’s no feeling quite like standing at the edge of the Cliffs of Moher, soaking in the crashing waves and against the world’s most iconic cliffs
Here’s what you should keep in mind when visiting:
Go Early or Late: To avoid crowds, visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon! We went in the morning and were able to get great photos
Transport: I highly recommend renting a car and driving through the countryside to the cliffs! If you’re not driving, there are bus options from Galway, Dublin, or Limerick.
Check the Weather: Ireland’s weather is unpredictable! Check the forecast and be prepared for wind, rain, or fog. If you have flexibility, you can change your trip around based on when the weather is best
Wear Layers: It was so much colder and windier at the cliffs than it was by our hotel. Bring layers!
Hags Head Walking Trail: If you drive towards Hags Head, there is a 5 Euro parking lot (it’s the honor system) that allows you to enjoy a more scenic view of the cliffs with fewer people. (This unfortunately was closed while we were here!)
Comfortable Shoes: Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes, and weatherproof shoes for exploring. You’ll thank me later!
Bring Snacks & Water: There’s a café at the visitor center, but I’d still recommend packing some snacks and water!
Explore Nearby: Check out nearby towns like Doolin or Lahinch, and consider walking part of the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk for more unreal views! We loved visiting Doolin (Ivy Cottage for lunch was incredible) and we also explored the Burren after!
